What are Damon® braces?

Damon braces are a special type of brace known as ‘self-ligating’ braces. This means they have special brackets with sliding mechanisms that don’t require elastic bands to hold them together. Instead, the archwire can slide smoothly through metal clips on the brackets.

Because your archwire can slide and self adjust, Damon braces don’t require as many adjustment appointments as other braces. There is also a lot less friction during treatment, which makes Damon braces especially efficient and comfortable.
